Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi was a great Indian sage of the twentieth century. He was renowned for his saintly life, for the fullness of his Self-Realization, and for the feelings of deep peace that visitors experienced in his presence. He spent his adult life in an ashram on the holy hill of Arunachala, guiding devotees and seekers in their path of spiritual Knowledge. He answered questions for hours every day, and taught Self-inquiry - to ask oneself, “Who am I?” - as the path to Enlightenment, or Self-Realization.
